Companies don't like catering to a minuscule percent of their consumers, because if they did, well that wouldn't be a good business decision. What do you dislike the most about your favorite console?

Not really. They work on the GBA and they stick out.

but they made the GBC and GBA fully backwards compatable. Hell, they used BC as a selling point. Seemed like a good trend. "Play all your old favorites! Look forward to great new games!"yomomma1 wrote:Companies don't like catering to a minuscule percent of their consumers, because if they did, well that wouldn't be a good business decision. I could understand the original ds it wouldn't be much of a problem.
The ds lite would kill your tendons. And make it bulkier
Noise,
After a HUGE amount of different B/C systems, why do they need to release it again, on their new system for the 5th+ time? How many people want to play a GB game on a heavy dual screen system that only utilizes one screen? And isn't very bright? Most people move on with games, and don't play older ones.
Plus alot of the signature games have been remade to the gba. which it was backwards compatible for. B/C is no longer a selling point. (IE 360,dsi,PS3)

I totally forgot about this and I agree 100%. It's a pain in the ass to lose saves on SNES games but opening up a copy of Lufia 2 is scary. I just recently lost my saves on Super Metroid : (Ack wrote:SNES - I'll have to change batteries in all of my battery-saved games, meaning I'll have to open up expensive RPGs to do it. I shudder at the thought of it, but I also shudder at the thought of losing my saves.
Re: What do you dislike the most about your favorite console?
I'm going to have to go with the Pro-BC crowd here. I love the DSlite (it saved my sanity during many deployments) but full BC would have been a good move. Sometimes you just want to pop in Megaman V or Warioland, you know?
Of course, NOW the new DS's won't even play GBA games.
My fave console is the SNES and my biggest gripe are the cardboard boxes games came in. Now I have a mess of loose carts that look pretty ugly next to their boxed Genesis counterparts.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I know! They moved in the wrong direction. Think about it, which would have been a better revision of the hardware?Flake wrote: Of course, NOW the new DS's won't even play GBA games.
(A) The NDS with it's amazing new titles PLUS the ability to play that pile of awesome games you grew up on!!!
or
(B) The NDS but we took away the GBA functionality... but you can take silly pictures of your friends... if you want.

Seriously... What a STUPID addition... Why would people want to take pictures with their ds jesus..
I would seriously want to slap some sense into some people at nintendo...
Re: What do you dislike the most about your favorite console?
It doesn't.
What bothers me is your attempt to rationalize it. To try and make it seem like "Oh It is a selling point, so keep making it b/c" (Even though no one wants it anymore(No one being the majority of consumers, and the company making it)
My argument was a business decision one, or rather an explanation. You want b/c because it would be cool to have, and you argue with me to try to find legitimate reasons for the company to put it there.
It's fine if you want it.
But I Know there is no real need, and a waste of time, and money.
I know that (this forum of people) want B/C, but then there is a huge amount of people that Don't care about it, or want it.
I suppose I am always getting in Disagreements like this because I tend to care more on a Standpoint that is more realistic, and less "WHY NOT RELEASE SHENMUE 3!!!"
Money.
