See I just own a Dreamcast. It plays emulators ported to it, and does it pretty well!

My modded XBOX with XBMC on it plays music and nearly all media formats including automatically mounting image files like .nrg, .iso, .bin and others. Though I do have to say the XBOX way is a bit more difficult as you have to install a mod chip and know where to download the BIOS and software which is illegal. But hey you people DL bootleg roms, you probably have no problem with those legalities. Let alone the fact that aside from the emulators and other software, XBMC and the mod chip are completely legal!

AppleTV - $299

XBOX - ~$125 (60 for xbox, 50 for chip, 15 for remote control)

Dreamcast - $15 :)

and are you an SP fan? Or is that a Cronenberg reference? I hope it isn't the latter.

I know the point you are trying to make, but I would like to see the Apple TV development progress as well.
If I'm going to have an Apple TV in my bedroom anyway, it would be nice if it played games.
Am I going to buy an Apple TV just to play games? No.

Also, I would be willing to pay more for the extra silence and smaller footprint over the DC and XB.
