Homebrew Shmups

Post by BlackDS »

Hola, I plan on getting my PSP hacked, but I don't know anything as far as the homebrew market is concerned.

You might want to be a bit more subtle in asking for pirated and/or homebrewed games on the PSP. That might be just me, though.

-edited to sound nicer :)

You might get more positive results then telling a bunch of retro game collectors that you plan on (illegally) pirating everything they've paid money for. Just, you know, a suggestion. :)
A lot of people here pirate, including me. And they are mostly open about it; you might want to check the emulation forum.

If you don't want to help, that's fine, but it's not as if his request is that out of place.

PS.: I don't think that the value of a collection is in any way debased due to other people's pirating. On the contrary, I very much admire the collections a lot of people in this forum display. If I could, I'd certainly have impressive collections like you guys's. I don't, however, and you should not feel that the fact that I did not pay as much as you to play the same games makes them worth less.

I'm trying to be nice. :)

Carry on, then! I do recommend getting a 10,000yen Japanese PSN card. There are some GREAT PS1 shooters to be had that are playable on the PSP. Lots of great PC Engine shooters, too!

There's nothing sketchy about homebrew....but as far as actual homebrew shooters I don't know of any on the psp. There are PLENTY of great shmup compilations and stand alone shooters on the system though.

Most of the homebrew I've seen are emulators and semi-useless apps.

Also, LOL at paying for .iso images from the psn store.
