Is Digital Press reliable?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

How much would a loose copy of Wild Guns go for? All that's on ebay is complete copies amazingly.

Their rarity guides are very accurate, but the prices listed can fluctuate greatly. Some prices are just plain outdated, where others are just inconsistent.

I don't think location is much of an issue in terms of rarity, at least when it comes to games with a rarity rating of 7 and above. Those are rare no matter where you go (even Panzer Dragoon Saga is only a 6). Not to mention the internet, where location scarcely exists.

Their forums really are a better place to ask such questions though. This site is a retro site, but not inherently a collectors' site. Digitpress is, however, and their forums are full of collectors. They even have a forum just for their rarity database (clicky).

Back when I was looking, they were going for $40+. I lucked out and got one for a lot less because the seller was new. I see some crazy person paid $200 for a mint complete Japanese copy recently. :P

Wow, I got the US version complete with inserts, instructions and box off ebay for a LOT less. The box shows signs of wear, but no damage of any kind. I was quite happy. There are a lot of greedy scum on ebay, but sometimes you luck out and find a nice seller

Oddly enough, I've found Xmas time a good time to go searching for stuff on ebay. There are a lot more search results you'll find and you can occasionally find a good deal. I guess some people out there have the holiday spirit
