Official Sega Saturn Memory Carts , 2 questions

howdy Saturn Scene , ive got a couple of questions about Official Sega Memory Carts.

1. Are there different size ones you can get or are they all one size only ?

2. And how many blocks do they hold ?

No one has the answers? Well, as far as I know, there was only one model of the Saturn Backup RAM cartridge released in the US. It was 512KB which equates to about 8000 "blocks". Enjoy these scans below. You can pretend you are in a store 15 years ago, debating whether to purchase this cart!

I read on a eBay page that UK-PAL Backup Memory Carts only work for PAL Saturns is this true ? i think the seller is wrong.

can anyone answer this ?

Thanks for the kind words, I'm trying to scan more things for consumption the these forums. I know that Japanese carts work on American systems, so logically I would assume that UK carts also work on American systems, but I can not say with absolute certainty. Anyone else?

that good info to know JFK , and yea your probably right with UK Carts working on US Saturns aswell. The eBay page has thrown me in a spin with his statement so i got to get a confirm somewhere. UK Carts are easier for me to buy , US are hard to come by down here (Australia)

I also have the Action Replay 4M Auto Plus which works like a charm. But as you can see from the picture in that link you posted, the cart is ugly as sin. My master plan is to open the official Sega cart and the AR cart and swap the innards. Then I'll have the best of both worlds! The awesome looking Sega cart with the power of the AR cart! I'm going to try it on Tuesday, I'll post results when done.

I also have an oddly colored teal cart. I think it's official because it allows direct saving, but it doesn't have the SEGA logo.
