Re: Nintendo Prices
So they can avoid the "I'll wait 6-12 months and buy it for 1/4 or 1/5 the release price" effect.

Re: Nintendo Prices
The reason why games drop so much in value is because people know they will drop in price, so they don't buy it. So they company lowers the price to try and sell the games to atleast cover costs. This seems to happen often with sega published games.ZeroAX wrote:So they can avoid the "I'll wait 6-12 months and buy it for 1/4 or 1/5 the release price" effect.

I wish we could find a middle ground. Instead of launching for 50-60 € they could, get released with a 30€ price tag, but that price tag being set for at least 2 years.

I heard at one point you guys wanted to ban flat chested porn.elvis wrote:That, and funding our extremist right-wing conservative government so that they can pay for more studies that "prove" 18+ rated games should be banned from our country (despite the fact that even the Australia Catholic Bishops group thinks it's a stupid idea), as well as enforcing a nation-wide Internet filter that nobody wants nor endorses.MrPopo wrote:That's because of the Australian "assrape" tax. As I understand it the money goes to keeping games from arriving in your country for six months.
Australia: fuck yeah.

well at least you didn't do anything as embarrassing as this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_3037/2002
although it was only enforced for a short time, and everyone was cleared of charges, it is still a shameful, badly written law, that couldn't express the difference between illegal gambling game and video game.

Wii is currently the only console without a budget line. I still don't understand why not, when Nintendo was more than happy to release budget lines in generations past.
I mean it's not like they're struggling to rake in profits or anything.

Re: Nintendo Prices
But you see if they aren't having problems making money, there is no reason to lower the price of the game to try and get people to buy it.AppleQueso wrote:Wii is currently the only console without a budget line.
