The reason why games drop so much in value is because people know they will drop in price, so they don't buy it. So they company lowers the price to try and sell the games to atleast cover costs. This seems to happen often with sega published games.

I wish we could find a middle ground. Instead of launching for 50-60 € they could, get released with a 30€ price tag, but that price tag being set for at least 2 years.

That's because of the Australian "assrape" tax. As I understand it the money goes to keeping games from arriving in your country for six months.

That, and funding our extremist right-wing conservative government so that they can pay for more studies that "prove" 18+ rated games should be banned from our country (despite the fact that even the Australia Catholic Bishops group thinks it's a stupid idea), as well as enforcing a nation-wide Internet filter that nobody wants nor endorses.

But you see if they aren't having problems making money, there is no reason to lower the price of the game to try and get people to buy it.
