By the looks of it Sonic's Final Smash is indeed transforming into Super Sonic; that's gonna raise all kinds of hell in a match. BTW, I'll also put down some bets on Megaman being the next 3rd party character in the game (if there is going to be another one).

I never even considered the "powers" thing. I just figured Megaman's attacking mechanics would be a natural for the game.

To be honest, I think Solid Snake sticks out like a sore thumb in the game, but at least the trailer for his announcement was interesting

I saw some more gameplay of Sonic in a demo of the game shown to press; it also showed Sonic's Final Smash in action! Basically after he turns into Super Sonic you can fly through the air at high speeds and you'll damage any player you run into, doing something like 20% damage with each hit, the whole thing lasts about ten seconds (which is plenty of time, usually).
