Super Mario Galaxy 2

My copy should arrive from Amazon today - I'm looking forward to it as the first one was a blast. Anyone else playing? Thoughts so far?

I want to make joking REHASH REHASH WORST GAME EVER remarks but this place doesn't have a strikeout tag.

I haven't played the first game so I don't feel like I'm in any position to comment.

It's absolutely fantastic. It's everything the first one was and more. I'm about 47 stars in and I love it. My only complaint so far is that I still find it pretty easy (again, so far). I'm hoping the difficulty level picks up. Then again - most Mario games are not really very difficult (except Lost Levels and Sunshine maybe). Anyway - if you loved the first SMG, you'll love this one. It's great to have Yoshi back as well.

Enjoy!

I'm in the same boat. Damn Nintendo's "release on a Sunday" preventing Amazon from doing Release Date Delivery for the game. I plan to play it pretty heavily tonight since I can't play tomorrow (Eagles concert).

i bought mine yesterday at Target. They had a Buy any Mario Wii games (I took Super Smash Bros. Wii) and get $20 off on Super Mario Galaxy 2. Seems like a good deal to me.

That makes three of us. At least I can apply my $20 pre-order discount towards Death Smiles.

::EDIT:: It JUST arrived  The case feels pretty heavy.

Yeah, I was surprised at just how much credit I got from Mario Galaxy 2. Combine that with my $10 credit from Trauma Team and it's clear that Amazon is amazing if you're going to keep buying video games.

That makes 4!

I too have been exploiting/exploited by the Amazon game credit system. $10 rebate for SSF4, $20 for SMG2 - now Deathsmiles is only $19.99 :D Here's hoping they add some game credit to that before it's all said and done, also!

What's this discount all about? I need to get in on that.

I haven't bought Galaxy 2 yet, but plan to sometime soon. I decided not to pre-order this time. I loved the first one, can't wait to play the second. Glad to hear you guys are enjoying it so far.
