Sega All-Star Racing 1.01 redux

Post by durkada »

It's been awhile since I played this one, and was pleasantly surprised to see an update available upon loading the game. Not thinking much of it, 1.01 helped this game to achieve the greatness it promised.

While I could argue that the game should not have shipped with such glaring problems, I'm still grateful to see all the nagging issues of the game resolved. The single most aggravating complaint had to be the frame-rate. While I can't comment on the 360 version, the PS3 is now running smooth across all the tracks I've tried.

I had a stake poised over the heart of Mario Kart. With 1.01, Sega drove it home. Mario Kart is dead to me.

Give it a a shot. While I'm unemployed for the next week, I've been enjoying my games. If you're up in the wee hours of the night, feel free to ping durkada for a race.

Later,
Jon

I bought it a few days after it released, and I wasn't disappointed. I haven't played it in a few weeks, but that's mainly due to time constraints. I'm going to have to play it a bit this weekend now that they've patched it, just to see if I can tell any differences.
