Pretty neat guide. If I were to make one suggestion, in addition to everything, I would include a chart like this...

I think this type of chart for the pinouts makes it much easier to see the difference, and is much easier to use when you're doing the soldering. Not that you have to color code the difference like that.

Awesome! Very easy to follow. This has persuaded me to do a NES repro once I've made my Starfox 2 cart!

Just pick a game, sit down and just play it. You WILL find one thats great. Final Fantasy II was the ticket for me. Great all around!
