Any other Virtual Boy fans out there?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I heard someone joke about doing that, but it's a really good idea. I imagine it would get kind of heavy on your head though.

I bought a virtual boy for $3. I don't have any games or the stand for it. It's been a low priority so far, but I'm hoping to get it up and running. With such a small catalog of games, it's pretty popular for people to try and collect the entire vb set. I think I might attempt to get a good portion of it myself. Perhaps a christmas present to myself...

I love the VB. I'm one of the few people that really wanted one at launch (but couldn't afford it). Thank god I didn't buy it new because of the small library of games. Recently I bought a VB complete with Blockbuster case and a few games for $30 (teleroboxer, mario's tennis) and I also bought one off of one of my rich buddies that came with a slew of other games (bomberman, wario land, 3d tetris etc).

It really is an overlooked console and still today all of my friends dislike it because they claim it "will burn their eyes out". Now I've played 3d tetris on there for at least 3 hours straight and there have been no problems for me, perhaps it got such a bad rap because people didn't know how to adjust the screen. Who knows, but I love my little red oddball... I think I'll set it up and play a little red alarm or something now...

3 hours on 3d tetris! I guess that is a good one. I wanna get it, it looks fun. Vtetris is good so 3d must be even better. It'd be cool if they made a systems similar to the vb now. But with todays technology. They could really make something great. With head attachments and all. Werent there ever headgear virtual reality simulators in the 80s i remember seeing things on tv and movies like that. I love the idea of virtual reality things. They look so stupid when youre earing them but theyre so cool at the same time.

Virtual Boy!!! Oh my... got mine about 2 years ago, here's my list:

galactic pinball
mario tennis (1 US & 1 J)
panic bomber (J)
red alarm
t&e virtual golf
virtual league baseball
v-tetris
wario land

Hoping to build it up with time. Not played too much, mostly tennis and wario. Felt like a little kid when I opened the box from the mail and started playing with it.

I love my Virtual Boy.

I just wish they made a flash card for it.

I just picked one up within the last year but haven't really played much of it. I really want to add some games to my collection and hit it up now and again.

bluelazergun wrote:Yes waterworld is a horrible game. I downloaded the nesters funky bowling rom and really like it. I made a home made head strap that keeps the VBoy on my head so i can play it standing, walking, driving, anywhere. I'll go take a picture of it on me and attach it later. Any one else have head gear? I saw a site before with a picture of a prototype of one that never came out. That would have been perfect.

I think playing virtual boy driving is illegal. For that matter playing virtual boy should be illegal.
