Gamers are frequently stereotyped as living in their mom's dark basement, being unemployed, and eating junk food all day. What are the occupations of those of you who break this mold? And what other hobbies do you have besides gaming?

I'm a Software Engineer at a medical research company, I'm also a father of 3 and playing with my kids is my other main Hobby. I also like to eat reasonably healthy food.
I'm afraid that I also like sci-fi, comics and surfing the web but then I'm scared of being a geek so long I dont turn into that guy

Law Enforcement. I love model trains. At one time I collected both trains and games. Right now only games.

Oh wow. This is an interesting thread. In a good way. I'm enjoying all of your answers. Work for a college teaching Music Technology subjects, such as recording and audio principles.
In my spare time I teach guitar freelance and I'm currently trying to find some like minded musicians to form a Progressive pop band. Yes prog pop, I am fully aware that it's an oxymoron.

Spend most my time in the basement. I do "freelance" editing and filming, meaning I'm technically unemployed. I've been eating pork rinds all day.
