Think I'd rather have the $55+ a day. Probably a better return on investment. The bad thing about this "domain name calculator" is that it doesn't include the intangibles, but it is fairly accurate.
My company is looking at an acquisition, and they're asking for 20k usd for the domain name. They're nucking futs, the worth of the domain name has an estimated worth of less than 2k usd. But, the site does about 200k usd of sales per year. They see the domain name as their business, not just a domain name. They're wrong. And with organic SEO, I could wipe them off the face of the Internet, but that is not how we do business. It's difficult to explain this sort of thing with people who have no clue about e-commerce.
