Ok, the point of this topic is to list games that are becoming hard to find from ps2/GC/xbox/ds/psp onward. This will give us an idea of what games to look out for in the future and this doesn't MEAN you have to get them on the first day they come out. I will list the games from Game Republic first and I will start adding more.
Game Republic:
1. Dragon Ball Origins 9.99 New 1.5/5 This game is actually becoming hard to find for whatever reason. It got high ratings from multiple sites, so maybe that's why. Game Republic actually make good quality games and Dragon Ball Origins looks amazing for a DS title. It kinda goes back in the days of PSX era where Final Fantasy games were considered to be graphically astounding.
2. Folklore 19.99 Used 2/5. I would've rate it 1/5 if it was few years ago, but it seems like they are starting to pop up again. I'm pretty sure they are going to be gone again sooner or later. It's a pretty underrated title, but I wouldn't say it deserves a 9 or higher. An 8/10 feels about right if it weren't for the beautiful design and somewhat intriguing storyline. Gameplay does get quite repetitive at times.
3. Genji series 3.5/5 Less than 10 dollars. Game is pretty easy to find. First one was better than the sequel FYI.
4. Brave Story 3/5 About 15 dollars. Another easy find for the PSP. Game looks great. I'm still playing this game, so I can't say too much.
Capcom
Haunting Ground 1/5 $15 Game is pretty hard to find as far as I can tell you.
Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter 1/5 $5 jrpgs are already hard to find and this is coming from capcom.
Okami 2/5 $17 This is a pretty good game with nice visuals. It's getting hard to find now.
DMC series 3/5 $5-10 I have nothing to say about this series lol. Well, the second one
was a letdown.
Onimusha series 2.5/5 $5-20 A great series. I think Dawns of Dreams is pretty rare.
Capcom vs. SNK 1/5 $20-25 This should be slightly easier to find than Marvel vs. Capcom. I actually like this series better just cause I play a lot of King of Fighters.
Street Fighter Anniversary and Alpha Anthology 2/5 Every once in awhile I will see this game at the stores, so get them if you do see them.
Shadow of Rome 1.5/5 $10 This game can be hard to find. Game was developed by the same people who did Onimusha. It has a pretty interesting gameplay with a somewhat weak story, but overall is good.
Marvel vs. Capcom 1/5 $50 or more Game is hard to find and is considered as one of the best capcom fighting games ever made.
God Hand 1/5 $15 Underrated game IMO. There are over 100 different moves you can select from. Game is hard to find. I was actually lucky to find one before it started disappearing.
Viewtiful Joe series 2/5 $5 A fun game. Games are cheap, but they are also getting hard to find now.
Chaos Legion 1.5/5 $5 Plays a little like DMC.

Dragon Ball Origins DS
was later recalled as its PG rating did not reflect the racy content found in the game. some of the screen shots demonstrated the stylus' capabilities in combat and the convenience of the dual screen gap such as censoring Bulma's genitals when she flashes Master Roshi for a Dragon Ball

Different way of cataloging, I would say ATLUS has to be up there.
Topics have a pretty good Rarity sections. For PS2 games go here:
