I was debating making a thread about this, but there is already a non-related google discussion, so I'm glad we have discussed it, does anybody know why they're doing this??

How about google brand ala carte tv channels. How many religious channels are there for every actual channel? How do these crap channels even get the satellite space? I think if someone came in with an actual ala carte cable service, or at least a service that cuts the crap and gives you the good channels with a basic package, they'd make a fortune.
