I need some help with Soldering
OK...I REALLY have no idea what I'm doing here. As such, if I don't ask for help here and now, this project will probably blow up in my face...literally. Alright. Here's the deal. We have two LED Lights. Within the console, the LED Lights already within are wired to the system's board, which is probably to power them...ANYWAY...how and where do I remove the wires from? Do I remove the wires from the board, or do I remove the wires from the lights? If it's the latter, do I then solder the new LEDs to the wires? Also, how can I do this safely? I REALLY don't want the board to explode or something.

LED Lights is like saying ATM Machine or PIN Number.
LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. The extra word light is redundant.

Solder at the LED end, save the risk of damaging the board. A good practice is to heat the wire and melt solder direct to the wire and not solder tip. Just go in a directed to the point way so not to overheat that LED.
Be sure the LEDs are close to the same volt and mili-amp rating.

Doesn't matter what rating the LEDs are at, just use a multimeter to find out what current is coming from the board and then an appropriate resistor before the LED. It's best to use a resistor first, if it's too dull then use another with a lower resistance. Simple.CRTGAMER wrote:Solder at the LED end, save the risk of damaging the board.
