Since you're on a mono 13" TV? Yeah, might as well save the space and use the stuff that gets the entertainment done since you won't end up with an ideal setup anyway.

I still recommend a homebrewed Wii with a couple of classic controllers over an NES or clone console. The emulation is pretty good on it for 2600, NES, SMS/GG, TG-16/PCE (also CD/Super CD), GB, Genesis/MD (no Sega CD, unfortunately) and SNES. The framerate for the AES is good, but doesn't seem to respond well to the classic controller. Perhaps the GC controller would be better for AES games. Unfortunately, MAME and N64 pretty much sucks on the Wii. Still, you'd be well covered with a Wii (even better with a modded X-Box!).

The concept of sharing living space with 18 year olds...well, that'd be a living hell. So theft isn't that big of a threat, just a lack of real estate to devote to game consoles...and I've got a lot of game consoles.

Oh and no offense to any 18 year olds on these boards. I'm sure you're great, clean, and good company. But get a hundred 18 year olds together and you have a maelstrom.

Oh and...

That'd be good advice 99% of the time but I've been pretty deliberate in both my choice of colleges, degree programs and classes taken. Trust me, I'm just here for the piece of paper.

So the consensus is FC Twin?
The top loader sounds like it will make you happy when you put a cart in.

Haha, but remember the idea is to SAVE space. As I recall, the oXbox needed a room of its own. That thing was a monster.

And I've got a wii but I'm avoiding the homebrew option. I'm not sure why but emulation never feels as much fun as playing the real thing for me. I just end up skipping from rom to rom, never finishing anything.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

That is why I have started to just hook up one or two systems at a time. With all of the choices on the HBC I can not make up my mind. But that is because it has everything.

Maybe you could switch systems on and off since you said you had a lot, the NES one month, then the Saturn the next, etc.
