Sonic Adventure 2 Battle has cleaned up textures, better draw distance, and I'm pretty sure better load times than the original. One of the few cases of the dreamcast ports being superior. Plus it's WAY WAY cheaper than the DC original.
For just about every other game I'd say go for the DC one though, they simply run better on it.
I think SA2 is better on Dreamcast. It controls better, it feels better, since it's on a Sega system, where Sonic belongs, and it has the Big cameos, which are oddly missing from the GCN version. Plus, it doesn't have Sonic Advance ads in-game like the Gamecube version. I hate Sonic Advance.
