Anybody have any experience printing instruction manuals?

Post by DonSilvestre »

Hey dudes. So I mentioned in the finds of the day thread recently that I came across a copy of Megaman Legends 2 for PS1 at a garage sale. It had the front and back cover of the instruction manual - but none of the innards. Now I want to preface this by saying I do NOT intend to sell this game or pass it off as a genuine article - but I'd like to see If I can print the inside of the book from a PDF.

I'm assuming that Kinko's wouldn't be keen on printing copyrighted material - but I have a PDF of the whole book and would like to print it to make it feel more "complete" to me (though obviously it will still probably drive me nuts until I can find an original).

Anybody ever try anything like this? What kind of paper, how were the results, etc?

honestly, that's an awful lot to go through to fake a manual. I'd say just leave it alone until you can get an original later on.

Agree, to get front-back printing to size on glossy paper would cost more then just buy a complete used copy. Then again an Amazon check showed it pretty high priced. Flea Markets and Goodwill, never know.

You could try a copy-paste method and create a custom one side print pages out of a jewel case creator program.

Hmmm - yeah I suppose if it'll end up costing a mint to do it I'm probably better off selling this one on amazon to pay for the "complete" one. Still need to try to get the blockbuster sticker off the top of the disc though...

dude, you CAN sell it with the sticker still on if you feel so inclined.

If it's disc only anyway I'm sure someone will still buy it.

Some members have tried to remove that label with mixed results. I would not chance it especially on that treasure. Plus its better to hang on to this rarity till a better one is in your hands.
