miyamoto talks zelda. makes me afraid for it.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Great one Hatta. I'm still laughing ten minutes later.

Back on topic, I have faith that Miyamoto knows what he's doing. It's not like he's ever made a bad Zelda game, right?

I agree with samsonlonghair. I don't get why people get mad at Nintendo with their core franchises. The main Mario and Zelda titles have all been top notch. The control scheme is actually the only thing I didn't care for on Twilight Princess on the Wii, the waggle attacks got old. That's probably what Miyamoto was referring to, the interface and control scheme for the game. I have faith that, even if they deviate from some of the tradition formulas, Nintendo will have a well-made game ready.

As long as it is not waggle attack Ill be fine. Wait, I take that back, since it has Motion Plus, if it can handle proper wrist movements, give me waggle.

Actually, I opted for the Gamecube version because I had no intention of falling for Nintendo's underhanded marketting tactics

I feel bad for all the suckers who fell for Nintendo's master plan and bought a Wii thinking Twilight Princess was a Wii exclusive, which was why those lowlifes pushed back the Gamecube version release date and marketted the hell out of the Wii version

I remember talking to people in stores who had no idea there was a Gamecube version coming out, or that the Wii version was basically a port

That's the only Zelda asside from Wind Waker and the first one that I liked.

Zelda II is amazing, you guys are crazy.

Anyway, I was worried when I saw headlines for this interview also. Now, after reading the article, I'm less worried because when he says 'making it easier', I think he's referring to the controls/control scheme in the game, not the overall difficulty level.

I'm still hoping that WiiMotion+ makes for a great Zelda experience.

You know, if Nintendo really wants to find a nice middle ground between pleasing core gamers and not alienating new ones, why don't they have, you know, difficulty settings?

Would it be so hard to have an easy mode/hard mode?

The 3D Zelda games are pretty damn easy to start with. Only time it's difficult is when you have no indication of what to do next. Miyamoto probably meant control schemes.
