Re: New TMNT fans?
The 2003 series is canceled, but they are making a new series in 2012 in CG. Any fan of both series should check out Turtles Forever, Its a blending of both animated shows and the original comics.
Here's the movie here, enjoy.

Now game wise I love the turtles so much that even the bad games I like. I don't have TMNT and TMNT smash up yet but I will.
Someone mentioned the new spider-man sucking, while I don't like the look it is a lot more faithful to the comics then the other series. I can't believe the fox series said Blackcat got her powers from the captain america serum. The new series also have some badguys and issues that were never touched in the other series.

I watched TMNT growing up (80's style) both the cartoon and the live action movies (though the third was shit, it is still 'classic' turtles).
I tried watching the rehash live action TV show, it was shit, tried watching the CGI movie it was shit, the series died out long ago, this new stuff is not the same turtles we grew up watching.

But the truth is the 80's cartoon is the furthest from the source material.emwearz wrote:I watched TMNT growing up (80's style) both the cartoon and the live action movies (though the third was shit, it is still 'classic' turtles).

I used to watch the new show when cartoon network played it in the afternoon. Then they stopped and I lost track of it. I finally caught up with new episodes of it while I was on vacation and was horrified to see they had turned it into some cyborg future turtles bullshit, it was awful. The first couple seasons of it were good though, much closer to the comics, and the action scenes were really well done.
But I never really read the comics. Like most turtle fans I was into the cartoon and the movies in the late 80s/early 90s. I think it'd be awesome if they did a live action movie based on the original cartoon but made everything slightly more badass, which isn't hard when you've got a talking brain piloting a cyborg body, an army of rock soldiers, and a giant underground death orb. Throw in baxter stockman in fly form and I'll even see the damn thing in 3D.

They are suppose to make a new TMNT live action movie soon. I loved original TMNT movie and cartoons. For instance I like Ghostbusters movie and cartoon 80's.

I also watched TMNT growing up (80's style) both the cartoon and the live action movies like many others and it was awesome. I have also watched the 2003 series but lost interest very fast. I played the new games on Gamecube and Wii and some were decent but far from the greatness of Turtles in Time on SNES.

Re: New TMNT fans?
The original comics are amazing. When I was younger I found a book that was like the first 10 issues. It was really fantastic. A lot darker than the cartoon was -- in fact the first film takes a lot from the comics. Although the Krang stuff in the cartoon does come from the comics as well.Jrecee wrote:

At any rate, I was a fan of all of it. haha.
