New TMNT fans?

Post by Kid Dracula »

I'm a hardcore 1987 TMNT fan, but I never really got into the new 2003 franchise. I feel guilty but I also don't like the look at the same time. Does anyone here watch the new show or play the new games?

i didn't even know they had a new show. i'll have to look that one up.

but i too was a huge fan back in the late 80s, early 90s. i think a week or two ago TMNT was on abc family. i most def watched it. casey jones kicks so much ass it isn't even funny. i love when he jacks that one dude with the golf club and he flyes ALLL the way across the room.
if you took a shit, please put it back

The new shows are pretty meh. There is an amazing TV movie that just came out called "Turtles Forever". You should watch it. So much fan service. It's all on youtube!

I'm a fan of the originals too. I collect the old Mirage comics. IMO, the original comics are the best Turtles anything. I do like the old cartoon though. And the first live action movie is my favorite movie of all time.

Sorry, I'm a huge turtles fan... haha.

Hahaha, I caught that on ABC, he beat the shit out of Raph with that golf club. They show all 3 movies alot actually. But they do have a new show, but it's nothing like the old show. It's more violence themed and not as funny as it used to be. I feel guilty because I can't get myself to like it or buy the DVD collection... And I seen Turtles Forever, that movie is down right awesome, it has something for EVERY turtle fan, a great watch indeed. And I collect the comics also, weird how they liked Chinese food instead of pizza.

Yeah, the turtles are way more serious now. It's good and bad. I don't like the character designs either. I've always thought that they look almost like... Some cross bread Battletoad-Ninja Turtle hybrid these days. Like... Not Turtely enough, you know?

Haha, exactly. They're too dark and skinny. I'm used to the more fat/muscle toned turtles. They have no pupils and it looks like they can use a pizza or two. I mean, I know they had to jazz em' up for the new crowd but eh not my taste.

It almost looks like their shells are painted on these days haha...
All in all, the new shows are decent. They are worth a watch if your into the Turtles, but will disappoint in ways if you aren't ready for many changes. Like... I'm not sure of the specifics but Shredder is actually a Krang like creature in a Shredder suit (?). Now sure how or why.

I love the new GBA games. I'm actually working on a blog post about the entire GB series, old and new.

Question: Do you collect the DVD sets?

And I hope you talk about Radical Rescue, noiseredux, that's my favorite gameboy turtles game.

i love the original version better, the today's i don't even bother to look at it because i know i won't like it like every cartoon that is remake now.

they ruin spider man, transformer, TMNT, x-men, etc.....stop it already.
