I remember going through my sister's cassette tapes when I was young and found "The Last In Line" tape. I was intrigued by the cool album artwork and ended up really liking the sound of the band.

Eventually, I discovered "Holy Diver" and "Rainbow in the Dark" but I still preferred The Last In Line. That song and whole album rocked!

I actually prefer Black Sabbath with Ozzy and never really listened to too much with Dio. I did have Mob Rules on cassette tape when I was younger. I like his solo stuff though. Holy Diver is a good start.

I don't know any Dio Sabbath Songs since I only listened to Ozzy era Sabbath. Some of Dio's most memorable solo songs are Rainbow in the Dark, Holy Diver, and Lock Up the Wolves. Since you listed some hard Rock bands, you might like Dio's first band Elf. He was in another band called Rainbow. According to the Metal Archives, they played hard Rock and Heavy Metal.

It seems to me that he's asking more for a general rock/metal thread in his honor.

Because "Dio" is but a scant consonant away from being "Duo"!!

Rainbow is awesome. This is probably my favorite song, but Rising and Long Live Rock 'n' Roll are both fantastic albums.
I'm known as ZebetiteGlitch or Zeza Von Thantos on other platforms.

My favorite album of his was Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell. I can't recall a bad song on that album.

Indeed, I could care less about the Dio era Black Sabbath and Dio's solo stuff is ok, it never blew me away though. One of the first bands that I really got into when I was younger was Rainbow, Rainbow are fucking amazing.
