Dreamcast with the works for $25?

Post by jrod1986 »

Hey guys,

This old-time Nintendo fanboy purchased his second Sega console the other day. For $25 it comes with Sonic Adventure, 2 controllers, + the a/v hookups. I assume that's a good deal for a Dreamcast these days?

Nick, I know you sell the VGA adapter for it and I do have a spare flatscreen lying around...is it worth it? Thanks in advance! ~jared

I'd say that's a very good deal!
And if you have VGA input on your TV, yes, it's definitely worth it.

Thanks for the replies--I'll definitely be getting the VGA adapter in the near future!

I do have one more question though. I know the Dreamcast uses the GD-ROM format and I was wondering if I'd have conflicts burning Dreamcast ISOs to CD-Rs. (UG is awesome :))

everyone burns them to CD-Rs... merely for the fact GD-Burners and writeable GD-Roms are nearly impossible to come by (especially since Sega stopped making the writeable disks about a year ago or something like that)

in general btw, I wud say look out for the files which are available as .CDI - they ALWAYS work for me, but for some reason most of the other formats do not...

Poor poor Dreamcast. At the local game shop here they have Dreamasts for $25 and NESes for $40. That's just not right. :)
