My rant to help stupid gamers - please chime in.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Hey, it's their money. Simple as that.

I've done this a couple of times and had mixed results. Sometimes i keep people from buying total funt. Other times all it does is makes the person even more determined to buy it.

In the end i guess if the person looks confused or has no idea at all what to buy, I'll politely give them my 2 cents. If not, it wasn't any of my business anyway.

You know that's one of the downers of city life, there's no way of telling whether person in front of you isn't a psychopath, and the odds are always against you.

I've never done that, because I like minding my own business, but I have stopped a father from buying his 12 year old son a GTA game. Man that kid must have hated me

that's sort of different, and isn't imposing your personal taste on anybody else.

Now if I worked at retail I would help people pick a game. Specially parents who want to buy a gift for someone, or someone who wants a game to play with his girlfriend (I've had my gf try out so many games, when I become a video game developer I'll nail the female demographic from day one :D).

But no I wouldn't stop them from buying shitty games. Unless I knew it was just soooooooooooo horrible. But mediocre games I'd let them buy it.

Play this for a few minutes. Cover suckered this Retro Gamer.
I punished myself for an hour hoping for something exciting to happen
