I have a few games that just won't work... Stubbs the Zombie, Far Cry, Cold Fear. Others have worked in compatibility mode, in administrator mode, or after installing some patch to update. I'd like to be able to get any of my games running though.
Are there common reasons why games don't work in Vista 64?

I dunno man. I've been using Vista 64 until Windows 7 came out, and I never have any problems with my games, minus a few free-to-play MMOs. On your list, I didn't have any issues playing Far Cry on my box. What are your specs? I'm local to Seattle, and if you are interested in Win 7, I'm more than happy to help a fellow Racket Boy member out there.

If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?

Ditto on moving to Windows 7. It's a big improvement on Vista. I have several desktops that were running Vista before and are faster and more stable now.
I also have a laptop that is 4 years old. I installed Windows 7 (Had XP before) and noticed that I didn't have sound and the Video display was generic. I didn't find any drivers on Dells' website. The next day, Windows Update ran and told me that it had a video update. A few days later, I got an update for the chipset (handles sound among other things). Amazing. So my laptop is fully working under Windows 7. I really like how hibernate/sleep works very well & fast. With XP, it would sometimes take minutes to come out of sleep.
