It really is worth the investment. Everything they promised has been delivered. SD support, SCD RAM support, SMS with FM support, 32X support. There's even a fully featured, open source, cross platform programmer. This weekend I got the coder to put in support for reading SCD ram, and worked out a 64-bit bug. At this point there's nothing I can think of that the Myth MD should do that it doesn't.

You know what... uploading roms to the cart via serial port is a big woopdeedoo... same goes with the 64mb... its just a small convenience matter. What really matters is that is supports 32x games...

Also payment security is pretty damn important too.

I think I'll give this one a miss and stick to the tototek one

32X support doesn't do me much good. I don't even have the right cables to hook up my 32X. For that matter, I don't think my PC even has a serial port. I'd have to go dig up a working motherboard from a couple of years ago to operate the tototek cart. If the seller could start accepting Paypal, KriKzz cart would be perfect. Too bad he's in the Ukrain.

Hey everybody, I bought one of these Everdrive v1 flash carts from Igor http://krikzz.com/

He was very helpful and quick to answer all my questions. I had to pay with western union which is another $10 added to the cost and it took about 2 weeks to arrive to California. It works great with all the Genesis games I have tried, both US and JPN, though the Mega-Key activation made games run in PAL mode. I have a US/JPN switch on my system so I don't need the Mega-Key option I was just trying it out. I have both the Tototek 64M card and this one and each has it's pros and cons.

With the Tototek you can flash say all 3 Streets of Rage to the card and it boots to the menu when you power on your system, you then select which of the 3 you want to play and it starts immediately. Or if you only have 1 game on the card it starts immediately like a regular cartridge. It can also play 32X games if you have a 32X system. The bad is that it requires a Parallel port to transfer games to the card and software, and does not play Sega Master System games.

With the Everdrive you can put basically the entire Genesis Collection on 1 memory card and choose the game you want to play from folders you create on the card. Though you can only have one game flashed at a time. So say you wanted to play sonic the hedgehog you would select it it would erase the flash then write sonic to the memory and then you can play it, takes about 25 secs or less. Now say you wanted to play sonic 2, well you would select it, it would erase and then program sonic 2 then you can play it. I don't see it as a problem, but some people I'm sure would. The menu comes up automatically on each start where you select what you want to do, this can be kinda of annoying to some that would want it to start up the game flashed to the memory automatically without the menu. I haven't played any SMS games on it yet so I can't comment on that.

I have the SNES/SFC, MD/Genesis and Master System flash carts from Tototek.

They're all flash via parallel port (they supply software, but I don't use it. I use uCON64 on Linux instead).

While I'd rather a unit that could use a SD card (or similar device), I have to say they're utterly brilliant. I still collect original games, but flash carts are a whole lot cooler than emulation for trying out those missing games in your collection. Not to mention being able to play beta, unreleased or community-hacked/translated games on real hardware, which rocks.

Hey not bad. I wasn't aware there was software for the tototek cards on linux. Actually it supports a lot of devices, very cool. Thanks for the tip. I don't have any of the supported hardware, but it's always nice to have options.

uCON will support a lot of parallel-port systems, even if not officially listed. Give it a go and see what happens.

Totally. The functionality of the Myth, with the effort that other people have put in (games direct from SD, save functions, extended menu, etc) makes it hands down the best solution out there. But it is pricey once you add the NeoSD adapter as well.

I recently bought one of the Everdrives from Igor (Krizz)
I am really impressed with how well this works, not tried any 32x stuff yet though.
I hacked a Smash TV cart to hours mine.
