I did the same in Doom 3Niode wrote:At least you guys tried to kill it. When I first played the game I didn't even realise that was a zombie. I didn't even know there were zombies in it. I picked the game up because it looked cool (this was when it first came out). Embarrassingly, I tried to talk to it...

Yeah, this was a long time ago though. Now I save even after the most basic events in RPGs...of course one of my friends took that to a new level just to irritate me in OOT and saved about ten times in less than half a minute. He took a step, save...save...save.BoringSupreez wrote:Non autosaving games are rather frustrating sometimes. You have to remember to stop playing every once in a while to go through menus and save. Kinda takes away from the experience.VincentX wrote:Getting about three hours through part of Disc 2 in Final Fantasy VII...then accidentally running into Ruby Weapon...dying...and realizing I hadn't saved at all for those three hours.

I used to be in the habit of saving at every single possible point, playing early disc based consoles will do that to you. I played through Resident Evil Wii when my buddy was around for my birthday and we was laughing at me for saving at every single possible point. He was just saying "what are you saving for? You've walked 10 steps and killed 1 person, what's the point?". The new batch of consoles really spoil you thanks to everything automatically saving to your internal storage.VincentX wrote:Yeah, this was a long time ago though. See one of the things that actually irritates me on some current games is I don't know exactly what it's saving and when it does it. So sometimes I'm forced to do something that I know will make it auto save just to make sure.
Re: What was your most humiliating experience in a game?
A. every time i play a game of Mafia (not a videogame)
B. Then I was 8, and I first played Zelda Ocarina of Time, I was mortified by the shadow temple. That creepy-ass dungeon music, plus having a hand come out of nowhere and grab your face, plus zombies that eat your head untill you die. I legit had nightmares after the first time I was grabbed by one of those giant hand things. It didnt help that I played the game at midnight. Why the hell was that game Rated E?
C. When I tried to speed run through super Mario world. Game Over'd in the first world.
D. Setting myself on fire the first time I got a flame thrower in Grand Theft Auto: CW

The ESRB was WAY more lax pre-GTA3.BlackDS wrote:B. Then I was 8, and I first played Zelda Ocarina of Time, I was mortified by the shadow temple. Anyone who has ever lost to this man:

Qualifies for this thread.
Can't remember my most embarrassing, but I'm sure I've lost to Dan at least a few times in my life.

Funny you say that. Loraine, aka "Lo" was really cute. In middle school she'd kiss my cheek, and I'd pop a chubby. She was also one of those Moms that when they hugged you, her breasts would either press against your chin or cheeks. Either way, boobs up in your face.Ack wrote:It's not so bad if she was hot.Luke wrote:Losing a game of mortal komat 2, to my best friend's Mom.
