Original Game Boy is perfect gaming essence!
Fortunately, there are enough 'Best of' articles here on RB, elsewhere, and Youtube, that I doubt many - if any - of the truly great carts are forgotten. Some of the best have already been mention in this thread.
Though obviously the Super Mario Land series (and I say the two Kirby platformers) is a must, I've been gravitating towards puzzle games on the DMG as compared to shooters or action games.
Take a look at these:
Boxxle 1 or 2 for challenging block shifting mind bending. Ishido is a cunning tile placement board game with simple and devilishly hard gameplay. Mario Picross is the strange melding of crosswords and sudoku. Mole Mania is a puzzler disguised as an RPG with great "production values" and early Nintendo charm. Pyramids of Ra is this low budget but wonderfully tricky 'escape maze don't retrace path' game- hard! And the super-stellar Qix, a game in which you try to trap a morphing shape in ever-enclosing borders.
Can anyone suggest some original Gameboy titles?

Re: Can anyone suggest some original Gameboy titles?
There is one game I have never been able to figure out what it is. It was on a buddies 150 in 1 cart he let me borrow back in 93 or 94. Simply put it was a horizontal platformer puzzle game where you played as a crocodile. I cant remember much more about it, and for the life of me cannot remember the name of the game. That friend moved to Hong Kong back in 95 so no chance in finding him again.
Any ideas? And no its not Croc.

I 150% agree on Qix. That game is amazing. If you look at it on YouTube or whatever it looks like it would get repetitive, but it really doesn't. It's a cheap GameBoy game, and is epic at everything it does.k.vlaros wrote:Original Game Boy is perfect gaming essence!

Again thanks for the stellar ideas, but today I got in Metroid 2: Return of Samus(shame I'm just getting this) but this game is solid. I'm waiting for Gargoyle's Quest to come in and I'll order some more tonight probably Mole Mania amongst others. Thanks again guys.
