Games you enjoyed better on one console because of controls
It's kind of interesting seeing how big of an impact controllers can have on a person's enjoyment of a game and I know I've seen people talk about that on various topics on here.
When I played Batman Arkham Asylum on the 360, I was frequently frustrated with combat as I couldn't get Batman to always consistently do what I wanted him to do. Using the Bat claw in combat for example, was always hit and miss as I would try to double tap the right trigger and the game often interpreted that as a single button press making Batman crouch down instead of launching the bat claw
I recently ran through the game again on the PS3 and I found the controls much tighter and had no issues with combat. In fact I flew through the combat rooms and got all the medals rather quickly, which was a frustrating, longer affair when I played the 360 version. Now I know some people will probably say they had no control issues with the game on the 360, but for me it played a lot better on the PS3 and I know comfort with any type of control interface is unique to each individual and I've never really been one hundred percent comfortable with the 360 controller on any game.
So what are your experiences with games playing better on one console for you due to the controls. And yes, we can include PC games in the discussion too, or even arcade games as I know some feel that many of them played better with joystick or whatever other unique interface they may have had(gun periphal, twin sticks, etc.)

I can't think of anything off the top of my head -- but this is a great topic actually -- I'll think about it and get back to you.

The most recent on is SFIV, fucking sucks with the 360 controller, worst d-pad ever.
Most fighting games are better on one system than another (Dreamcast / Saturn has nice controllers for fighters).

Completely agree with you there. The 360 is terrible for fighters.emwearz wrote:The most recent on is SFIV, fucking sucks with the 360 controller, worst d-pad ever.

I tried playing Tekken 6 on the 360, definitely worth waiting to get a PS3 to play that rather than playing it on that terrible d-pad on my 360 controller.

that's why I adore the Hori GBPlayer Controller. It's so reminiscent of the SNES controller, which was pretty much perfection if you ask me.

Super Smash TV is much better for SNES than for Genesis, since you need to awkwardly hold 2 controllers at once with Genesis to play it like its meant to be played. I've never played the arcade version, but I'd imagine its even better.
I'm known as ZebetiteGlitch or Zeza Von Thantos on other platforms.

The COD games. I have World at War for PS3 and 360. It's so much more comfortable on a Dualshock 3 than the 360 controller, IMO.

Anyone played sonic 1 or 2 on Xbox 360? The delay between button presses and your movement destroys the game. I don't know how they managed to screw up something so simple. Does the 360 have pressure sensitive buttons? Maybe he only responds when you've fully pressed the button. Either way it sucks. Hopefully that won't be an issue with Sonic 4.
