What was your most humiliating experience in a game?
Mine would be, of course, dying on the first Goomba in SMB.

Um...OH, being eaten by the first zombie in Resident Evil 1. Especially humiliating if you are playing as Jill, as she has a gun. It's somewhat forgivable if you are Chris because you only have a knife. It's so annoying too, 'cause if you die, you have to re-watch the whole opening sequence. Man, I love RE. Good topic. Who's next?

Making substantial progress in a megaman game and thinking I was finally getting good, then realizing it was set to easy mode.

You know, I did the same thing, actually. My problem was made worse by the fact it was my first RE game, and therefore I didn't know how to work the controls well. That game could have used a tutorial. It's hard to get into if you're not determined to like it and win it.Jerkface Killah wrote:Um...OH, being eaten by the first zombie in Resident Evil 1. When I was in 7th grade, I thought Cloud Strife was a pretty cool guy. Then I wised the fuck up.
Re: What was your most humiliating experience in a game?
At least you guys tried to kill it. When I first played the game I didn't even realise that was a zombie. I didn't even know there were zombies in it. I picked the game up because it looked cool (this was when it first came out). Embarrassingly, I tried to talk to it...BoringSupreez wrote:You know, I did the same thing, actually. It would be taking a fake death pill in MGS:3 in water and I died from drowning.
Also some of you may laugh at this since due to humiliating experiences in games...

It wasn't my experience but I was involved. I was playing a friend in Street Fighter II: Turbo on the Wii VC and beating him pretty badly. I jokingly suggested giving him maximum handicap and my playing blindfolded.
I won. Perfect Victory.
I'm not that good. He's just THAT bad.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
