This guy is one thorough Hombre.

Plus, I now require a Sega Keyboard for my computer.

EDIT: Also, is anyone getting a weird frat boy vibe from this guy's voice? Nothing against him as his video was actually quite nice and definitely is one of the few I've seen to smartly and intelligently highlight the Netilnk, it's games and accessories. Just struck me ass kinda odd.

It's one hour. I sat through about 30 minutes of it. The interesting part is mostly at during the first 15 to 20 minutes. After that, he runs video of games running off netlink connections. It's something I'd love to have in my collection, but I don't even know if I'll ever have a land telephone line again.

I wonder if you couldn't feed the phone line into a computer, digitize it and send it over VOIP across the internet. The telephone network is all digital once it leaves your house anyway, so it should be possible in principle. Lag might be an issue though.

Yeah. What's really great about this video is he has recorded gameplay from every affordable netlink game.

I have heard of people trying this. Connection drops occur frequently. You'll need to make sure you are using a set of "voice"/data modems to handle it. You will probably also need an earlier windows system. I may be thinking about the Dreamcast, though. I didn't get much sleep last night. I watched this and Screw Attack's Mega Man movie. It kept me up until 5.

*check out 23:31 for Virtual On and a shout out to my VO instructional video. :D

Thanks to Wip3outguy for posting this! I've never posted on racketboy so I would felt like a dick linking to my own video here. Theres no way to get the netlink working over anything but a regular land line. If you go to www.saturnleague.com Warp could doa better job explaining it...he's got a little more technical understanding of it.

My youtube account has no time limit because I signed up as a director back in 2006. Also Im not a frat boy lol, never been to college and not big on drinking but I have heard people say weirder stuff about my voice haha.

Hey Jerry, you mentioned not being able to find an image of Daytona Netlink. If you are still looking for one, you should be able to grab one from Underground Gamer. I cannot confirm that it works with NetLink, because I do not have one to test with, but it claims that it is the NetLink version.

Good video by the way.

Ahhh the Netlink. I have many fond memories of this device. I first got online with the Netlink. I even learned how to code html and even went as far as coding some perl scripts with only the the netlink (using a webftp text editor of course)... and no keyboard or mouse! Only using the saturn controller and onscreen keyboard. It paid off though... years later and I'm a web developer for a very good company! Thank you Netlink!

I had a small website that was devoted to expanding the online capabilities of the Netlink. We even had it connecting to telnet servers through its IRC (pwchat://) interface to play some games (nethack!). I miss those days!
