What LCD Monitor Should I Get Samsung or LG? I'm planning to buy a LCD monitor because my monitor always adjust it self in smaller size.I use my computer for a long time,a monitor that is for gaming and work, I have a NVIDIA Video Card 8500 series 512mb, I want a very sharp and very high in color, doesn't auto-adjust. So what LCD monitor should I buy LG or Samsung?

Odd that monitor self adjusts does not fill up the screen. Did you try the monitor setup buttons?
You can adjust the horizontal and vertical sizes, monitor should "remember" your settings.

As far as a non-self adjuster you may have to go for the older manual only CRT monitors.

I love HD CRT for gaming, but for the computer happy with my Sony LCD.

If you have seen the ipad or imac computers apple sells you might notice the accurate, vibrant colours and excellent viewing angles. The technology used is called "IPS". All monitors made by samsung and LG are an inferior and cheaper tech called "TN". TN panels have poor viewing angles and washed out colours. All laptops have TN panels as well.
Samsung and LG do produce IPS screens however they are used expressly in their televisions.


Consider this monitor if you are interested in a quality display.

Does your video card have a DVI video plug? If you use that with any new monitor you won't experience auto-adjustment.
