What's your most hated game?

Festers Quest for the NES. I spent an entire weekend trying to beat that game as a kid and never rented it again. Didn't make it past the sewer...ever.

Family Guy is good for what it is -- a show that settled deeply into The Simpsons archetype and established a very identifiable sense of humor. It pisses me off when they outright copy original ideas from people on the internet like Burger King Guy, Peanut Butter Jelly Time, and Flea Market of Montgomery and everyone thinks it's a Family Guy original somehow, but for the most part, it does its thing well and it can't be faulted for that objectively speaking -- I mean really, America's most popular cartoon could be ALOT worse than Family Guy. I do wish that people would work on this nasty habit of clinging onto single entities and shutting out all the rest, though. Why is it always one of just TWO things shoved down our throats at any given time, y'know? It turns half of us into mindless products of obsession and misplaced loyalty and the other half into spiteful products of boredom. Not cool.

Anyway, I like Family Guy much better than American Dad. I was actually excited for that show, because I thought that Seth McFarlane had created this new entity in order to validate a more heavily political range of topics while not taking away from the "focus" of Family Guy. I thought it would be like The Simpsons meets The Daily Show, y'know? Then it comes on, and every political comment is completely asinine -- utterly weightless, and the focus instead falls on a carbon-copy of Stewie in an alien's body, only with far fewer redeeming aspects. And the crowd goes wild!

The game tricked me as a little kid thinking it was a Zelda Clone. Poop clone was more like it. After working a few days on the lawn I finally had $20 bucks to spend on a game and I chose that piece of dinosaur poop (big poop).

ah the shitty days before the internet. I was at least lucky enough to never be cheated out of my money from a crappy game as a kid.

Can't say the same as an adult. I keep getting tricked by overpositive reviews.
Battlefield Bad Company 2, GTA 4, Prince of Persia (PS3), Resident Evil Remake
are only a few games I remember reading only positive reviews, and not liking them one bit. l

Do many of us really enjoy Family Guy anymore? I liked it for the first couple of seasons, but once they started making new episodes, it just didn't seem as good. Too many reference jokes, not enough original material for me.

It's okay. It's certainly not a show I'd ever buy on DVD or spend an extended amount of time watching, but its not bad to put on once and a while for a few cheap laughs. Though I certainly agree the older seasons were funnier.

It's kinda funny how popular opinion about it went (at least among people I know). When it first came out people loved it and praised it as one of the funniest shows ever, then after South Park made fun of it everyone started jumping on the "Family Guy sucks" bandwagon. Now, it's just sorta there, and, as I said, good for a few cheap laughs.

A Bad Fur Day sense of humor.

I admit, I loved the first season of Family Guy. Every episode after that has been utter garbage. It's not progressive, doesn't convey a message, and usually doesn't contain any "jokes". Like epic movie and its ilk, the humor is "Hey remember this? Well we put it in our show!".

I'm sick of Family Guy as well at this point... but it isn't in as much need of the "Old Yeller" treatment as The Simpsons.

I can watch an episode of Family Guy, turn my brain off, and chuckle at a few things. Can't do that with The Simpsons. I can never even find stuff in The Simpsons that's supposed to be funny.

In my opinion, both Family Guy and The Simpsons jumped the shark after season three. After that, they began to rapidly dissolve - it's just a lot more noticeable in The Simpsons because it's been around almost as long as I have, and it never went on hiatus.
