Man, for someone who really likes ninjas, I actually haven't played a lot of ninja games! Whats wrong with me?!
Any ways here's my favs:
Shinobi 3- I played this game constantly when I a was a kid. I mean, it had everything that ever made ANYTHING cool. Ninjas, cyborgs, crazy messed-up mutants, mechas, brutal guns that sound like POWERTOOLS.(ok, it didn't have werewolves, Witch Boy) It was my religion.
It eventually got lost or stolen or something though. When I did buy another copy fairly recently it was still INCREDIBLE. I nearly went and threw away my PS2 because I was like "I'll never need any other game again for as long as I live!" ...ok thats a bit of an exaggeration...
STRIDER- another game I would nearly trash a PS2 for.
Heh, thats all I can think of for now.
I have heard of Ninja 5 O or whatever its called. Thats one I've been meaning to check out. And KAZE KIRI for the PC-Engine. I've also been looking into Sengoku 3, it really looks kick ass. I remember the first Sengoku was loads of fun. Really, one of the most imaginative side scrolling brawlers I've played.
I also remeber there was this one Ninja brawler that had a alot of mode 7 effects... It kind of remined me of the Konami X-men game... anyone have any idea what I'm talking about???
SHO KUSUGI in Tench??? No way! I'll definately have to check that out!

Have to go with the original Tenchu for PS1. That one really caught me and I played the hell out of it.
Then I'll go with Ninja Spirit on TG16 because it's just pure, concentrated awesome.
