Be careful when you shop for Games online

Scratches are a common thing but that can always be professionally resurfaced for a few bucks at skippydisc. Buyers should be more worried about possible cracks in the center ring of the disc. well, i know many of you should know by now that this is caused by the hub in the dvd cases either by forcing the game into the hub w/o pressing the press button or the hub is adding too much pressure on the ring of disc, which some capcom ps1 cases do that even if it hasn't been removed from its shrink wrap after a long period of time (eg, the single case where you can put two discs can pretty much start a nasty crack). I highly recommend that you contact the buyer regarding this cause this can happen to you and it did to me a couple of times with some expensive games like Fatal Frame 3. Would you want a cracked disc on the disc drive? I don't think so.

this actually happened to me with clock tower 3....i put it in a new ps2 case without the memory card holder and i shipped it and it got cracked.

Happened to the copy of Christmas Nights I ordered from a dude in Hawaii. Thankfully he had a second copy and replaced the bad one for me. Don't know why he shipped me the broken on in the first place. Don't know why he was sitting on two copies in the second place.

I think you should watch out for ps2 games. The only ps1 games I would avoid are the single cds where you can fit 2 discs. The hubs for those add too much pressure in the ring. I could only think of Dino Crisis 1 w/ Re3 demo and Striker 1&2 that come in those cases.
