Oh well, a find of the day for someone else!

I went down to a new thrift store that opened that was run by this really jolly Mexican dude. He had about ten genesis games sitting there and sold them to me for five bucks. Granted, most of them were sports games, but they're all complete with case/manuals. Plus there was a complete copy of Sonic 1 in there to replace my cart-only copy now.
Then later I was browsing through another thrift store and bought a Game Gear for $3. I don't know if it works because I can't find six(!) AA batteries, nor do I have any games to play on it. I'd imagine it works though.

seriously? But that game is pretty uncommon in the wild (p4 I mean). I haven't seen an actual copy in stock at any stores for months. Still though, it's pretty good to know, because I bought three sealed copies for $20 each. I was going to try and sell them, but now I think I'll wait a few years until gamestop liquidates its ps2 collection. Hopefully once that happens the price will go up for the game online.

Even if the capacitrs need replacing, $3 is pretty good. If you're in the US and you have a Genesis model 2, that plug will power the GG.

Also, if it looks like the screen doesn't work at all find the brightness dial and fiddle with it for a second. I thought my own GG was dead until I screwed with the dial and thankfully it worked like a charm.
