I have an absolutely hilariously bad novel of golden axe. The way Ax Battler is deadly serious, but still manages to slip in some nineties slang, and the epic conversation between Mr. Battler and the Turtle Village Turtle (who doth feareth for ax's mortal soul if he shoulde be so stupyd as to fight ye olde death adder!) are my favourite parts.

If I remember correctly, there was also an awful novel based off Gex. Saw it for a quarter. I also own a SMB 3 kids book. It's pretty bad. All I can remember about it right now is that they ate pizza with peppermints on it at the end.alienjesus wrote:I have an absolutely hilariously bad novel of golden axe. I read Metal Gear Solid and it was surprisingly good; I read the book before I played the game

A friend of mine keeps telling me how amazing the Halo novels are, but I simply can;t believe him. How can a game so devoid of any sort of proper storyline spawn any novel worth reading?

What? They have a great story, especially for an FPS series. And the Halo books ARE supposed to be quite good, it's not just your friends.MikeyW wrote:A friend of mine keeps telling me how amazing the Halo novels are, but I simply can;t believe him. For comic books, I think Beneath a Steel Sky and Cybermage both have some decent ones that came with the game (although Cybermage plays like a Comic Book and the in-game intro is one, so I may be confusing myself on that one).
