I'll have to assume you meant Final Fantasy IX, as; a) Final Fantasy XI was a PS2 game originally and; b) I can't, for the life of me, believe that a non-gamer could fall in love with Final Fantasy XI.
As something of an aside, since this topic now serves no point, a few Christmases ago my wife independently researched and gifted games with good reviews that she knew I didn't own, despite the fact that she doesn't even remotely resemble a "gamer." Now that's love.

Oh yeah? Well my ex-fiancee bought me an MVS for my birthday a couple of years ago.
My wife also bought me a Pop'n Music ASC (though I had to pick it out - it's pretty damn obscure, even for gamers) for my birthday a few years ago, as well as a gaming laptop this last Christmas. I was most impressed with the games, however, because I didn't allude whatsoever that I wanted them and because she did so much research to pick out good games that I wouldn't expect. It was literally a case where I wouldn't own the games if she didn't pick them out.

Exactly. I remember this one female I was with really wanted one of those Sock Monkey things. I thought it was too expensive and didn't really see the point, but I still supported it with "If it makes ya happy, go for it."
I'd want the same consideration thrown onto me when I go to pick up the latest murder simulator.
Whether or not he's a troll, it's funny that most of you don't know the first thing about English or English grammar, and yet feel free to be prescriptive and judgmental over grammatical issues.
