Help my friend. She's a huge gamer! Get Keith stuff.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

100% This is sooooo badass! I love when communities can work together to actually achieve something worthwhile.

Just a heads up, I got en email today from the Raiseitnow people. I'm a "Consolation prize winner" and "You have won a $50 bid pack to Toppennyauctions.com to be used on their site". Aside from the usual silly email "A winnar is you!" nonsense, even though I'm "1 of 15 monthly winners" it it just a plain link to the auction site as opposed to one with a unique ID showing me as a winner

Did anyone else get this email? I don't have plans to visit and I hope I'm just being paranoid, but this email reeks of scam. I hope Alyson gets the money she needs and I don't have to start worrying about my card I used. :(

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I didn't get the e-mail though, for the record.

I did not get an email but you are going to make me paranoid dude. I used my paypal once and my debit bank card once. I really need to stop using my bank card online.

Maybe I used an older email that I do not really use anymore though. Can't remember now.

Nope, no email for me either, but I'd agree that you should be wary of emails bearing gifts.

I received two of these today from someone using the name Richard.
Congratulations

As you may have noticed when you visited raiseitnow, each month there is a drawing from those who made a donation to a non profit or charity. Your name was selected from that drawing.. There are no restrictions and if you have made more than one donation you have more chances to win other prizes as well. Future donations will also enter you in that months drawing. This months grand prize was a Droid Valued at $599.99 .

As a new member we will upon your registration place your free chances to win into you member account. This will give you the opportunity to win , .a variety of name brand products such as The new Ipad, Nintendo WII consoles and games, current Videos, a vast array of Electronics, trips, cash and more.

Toppennyauctions is proud to be a sponsor of raiseitnow and thanks you for opening up your heart for those in need. We hope you continue to give of yourself in the future and want you to know your help does make a difference. Please remember you must register and through contact us, give us your username so we can place your free bids in your account.

A little about TPA. TPA is a reverse penny auction web site. Unlike EBay you have the ability to win items and save up to 95% off the retail price, in fact as a rule most items never sell for more than 20% of the MSRP.

TPA is the only penny auction that provides complete bid protection for it’s member. Some penny auctions claim that your bids are protected ( Zero bid loss). Although creative wording it is not necessarily true. What they aren’t telling you is that you must purchase the item outright in order to not lose your placed bids.

TPA provides the only true and complete bid protection with “BID TIL YOU WIN”. here is how it works, once you have purchased a bid package you can select from a number of “BID TIL YOU WIN” auctions and place your bids. If you win the item your item is shipped within 7 days. If it is cash ,it is deposited into your member wallet within 24 hrs.

If you did not win the auction because you were outbid, then your bids are put back into your member account. That is real bid protection, not a lure into making a buy it now purchase.

As with anything there are a few restrictions

1. You can only win one ‘BID TIL YOU WIN” action at a time.

2. You can place bids on as many “BID TIL YOU WIN” auctions as you want, however if you do not win we will only replace the bids on one auction, if you win several ‘BID TIL YOU WIN” auctions we will only honor ONE

3. You can only use purchased bids, or bids that have been won on a previous auction

4. ‘BID TIL YOU WIN’ does not apply to any fund raiser or charity auctions and this option is only applicable to auctions marked ‘BID TIL YOU WIN’

That it for restrictions, an those restrictions are clearly set so everyone has a good chance on winning a valuable item.

As a new member ( you are under no obligations to purchase anything as a new member ) our help center is available to answer any questions about how pennyauctions work and we even have some helpful hints and strategies available to help bolster your chances of winning.

Did you know that penny Auctions are now one of the most popular methods of Auctioning off items in the world right now. EBay used to be the end all when it came to Auctions and bargains, but as you will see eBay’s popularity is fading fast and penny auctions are the new eBay.

Once again thank you for your donations and we hope to see you soon on TPA

I am guessing raiseitnow sells emails to raise some cash of their own.

Yeah, I got those too. Notice that the idiot put a bunch of emails in the TO field too instead of BCC, so you got a whole bunch of random people's emails. I have at least one other Racket member in mine. If any of those other people in your group that got the email are infected with spyware that harvests, everyone will end up getting more spam. Fantastic, I didn't use a junk email address for mine. :x

Oh well. No good deed goes unpunished.
