Hi all! Long time lurker, first time poster, i had a quick question:
Do the vga cables for the Dreamcast really make that much of a difference in a games graphics and if so, how are the quality of the cables they sell on here?
Speaking of the store on racketboy, are they ever going to get the saturn RAM cartridges back in stock?

It depends on what you're comparing the VGA signal to, but yes they do. I've never seen a DC through S-video, but DC VGA compared to composite is night and day. Absolutely worth the minimal investment.
As for the store here, I got the regular VGA cable itself rather than the box, and while its construction looks a bit shoddy, it works great with no issues whatsoever. I believe everything is tested before it ships as well.

Using composite cables with the VGA box? That wouldn't improve anything. It'd be the same as using the standard DC composite cable without the VGA box.

Re: DC & Saturn question
The VGA box that has an optional S-Video/Composite bypass is the best choice.
Not all Dreamcast games support VGA so you can bypass with the box.
VGA will really bring out graphics, make sure you have a monitor that supports VGA 640x480.

Re: DC & Saturn question
Yeah, I bought my VGA cables from racketboy, and they definitely make 3D games look sharper (especially on an HDTV), but be warned that they also make 2D game sprites slightly more blocky. The only games I play regularly that look slightly worse with VGA are Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike... but using VGA on an HDTV also has the added benefit of reducing the input lag (important for fighting games), so I'd still even recommend it for those two games as well.
