OK! I grew up with the SNES, so it's only natural I want to play it for nostalgia's sake..I'm off to a decent start, I picked up the SNES and all 3 super star wars games for 35 bucks at a flea market...all work and such. Here's my...want list I guess.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors(Want it complete)
Super Mario World
Mega Man X
Earthbound
Super Castelvania IV
Super Metroid
Starfox
How much is this going to cost me? And what am I missing?

Numbers are estimates, but that's around what I see these games going for on their own.CDink wrote:Zombies Ate My Neighbors(Want it complete) Loose carts for for about $10-$20; not sure about CIB
Super Mario World $5-$10
Mega Man X $5-$10
Earthbound I've seen loose carts go on eBay for anywhere from $70 - $115, so expect to pay somewhere around there
Super Castelvania IV $7-$15
Super Metroid $7-$15
Starfox $5-$10

I'm known as ZebetiteGlitch or Zeza Von Thantos on other platforms.

Re: SNES Collecting time!
It depends on what you want to do with it. Are you looking to try new games, or are you just trying to recapture old experiences? How big do you want to build it? Are there particular genres you're interested in?
Either way, that list of titles you put up will make for a very solid start. But there are lots of options with a SNES collection, with lots of representation for fighting games, RPGs, platformers, beat 'em ups, shmups, sports, and more.

platformers, beat em ups, and RPG's are my main focus.....this local store has tons of little 5 dollar snes games...a few for ten......I want to get all the games from my childhood, but also build the collection...

Why don't I see Turtles In Time or Sunset Riders anywhere in this thread? I'm confused.

Wow, my three favorite genres. You certainly find plenty of those on the SNES.CDink wrote:Ack wrote:It depends on what you want to do with it. Chrono Trigger(good luck finding a copy though)
Final Fantasy VI
Konami and Capcom made some fun licensed platformers(Animaniacs, Aladdin, Disney's Magic Quest, etc.)
Final Fight 3
Ninja Warriors Again
The Adventures of Batman and Robin(beat'em up/platformer hybrid)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles IV:Turtles in Time
Battletoads in Battlemaniacs
God, there's tons of good stuff on the SNES

Turtles in Time of course! Is Chrono Trigger that hard?
