Mega Man is more of an incarnation than anything else, just in the way Mega Man and X are "essentially" the same character, with only the setting they're in really defining them as being different.
Saying that, the game does have references to the previous games and suggests that these games are set way way WAY into future relative to the main Mega Man and X story lines.
All in all, they're great little GBA RPGs, but they're extremely distant to Mega Man in terms of gameplay.
are the Mega Man Battle Network games any good?
Re: are the Mega Man Battle Network games any good?
Thanks for the impressions everyone. Just curious, have any of you in Japan (or just the hard core importers) used the GBA Battle Chip accessory or used the chips that plug in to Battle Network arcade machines? I noticed these chips interspersed in Yahoo Japan auction's Game Boy category and have been curious ever since.
