What game do you own the most versions/copies of?
Re: What game do you own the most versions/copies of?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: What game do you own the most versions/copies of?
Hmm...I have three copies of Street Fighter Alpha 2, though one of them is part of the Alpha Anthology. I also own Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, and Super Street Fighter 2 on the SNES, and I bought Street Fighter 2 for my girlfriend's Genesis.
I also own Virtua Fighter 2 for Sega Saturn and Sega Genesis, as well as a copy of Virtua Fighter Kids(basically an SD version of VF2). I also technically own two different versions of the original Virtua Fighter, since I own Virtua Fighter Remix and Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution, which included Virtua Fighter 10th Anniversary. And yes, I do own Virtua Fighter 3tb and Virtua Fighter 5. And I own Fighting Vipers, though I don't yet have Fighters Megamix.

Yeah, those Street Fighter games kind of add up I guess. I forgot to mention those. I have Street Fighter II and Street Fighter II Turbo on the SNES, plus I have the ones in the Capcom Classics Collection (Vol. 1) on PS2 (which has SFII, SFII:CE, and SFII:Turbo), and I have the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology, and the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection on PS2 as well.Ack wrote:Hmm...I have three copies of Street Fighter Alpha 2, though one of them is part of the Alpha Anthology. Re: What game do you own the most versions/copies of?
Hmm ok. Looking at different ports of the same game as opposed to multiple copies of the same thing. Like most people, I have SFII in many flavors many times over.
SFII - SNES
SFIIT - SNES
SFII CE - PCE
SFII+ CE - MD
SFII / SFII CE / SFII Hyper - PS2 Capcom Classics 1
SSFII Turbo - PS2 Capcom Classics 2
I'm surprised that I only have 3 copies of original vanilla Tetris.
DOS (1987)
NES (Tengen)
Gameboy (for some reason I ended up with a Japanese cart)
Aside from that I have some games many times due to having original cart plus Atari, Midway, Namco, Sega, and Taito compilations for SNES, Saturn, PS1, PS2, and PS3.
The OPs RE pile is certainly impressive. I think it will be hard to beat without someone having a fanatic collection of Tetris or Dragon's Lair.

I have two copies of Pokemon Red - one loose cart and one boxed - and I'm planning to sell off the loose cart once I get all the Pokemon off of it. I bought my second copy JUST for the box! ^^;
I have multiple versions of Chrono Trigger: the SNES version, the Japanese SFC version, the PS1 version (actually my brother's), and the DS version. I also have multiple versions of a few Mega Man X games (SNES, GC and PS1/PS2 versions)

Re: What game do you own the most versions/copies of?
I have both the black label and platinum version of Soul Reaver, as well as the Dreamcast version (and all other related games).
Apart from that I have the Gamecune and PS2 versions of Timesplitters 2 as well as a hell of a lot of Sonic compilations, including the ultimate sega one for Xbox 360.
