The problem right there is that it's a Sony. Best just junking it and buying something better.
Also. 32inch 1080p? That's completely pointless, you won't see any benefit of having 1080p on such a small screen.

I doubt the problem is the actual screen its probably some faulty component that shouldn't be too bad to change. Did you check your warranty?
Thanks everyone...

There is nothing wrong with Sony, other than the fact that you don't like them. And, cut him a break, not everybody can afford to have a huge TV.
Looks like a guy on this forum is having some of the same issues with his picture on his 32" Sony as well. http://tinyurl.com/2dqcqwh. I would check your warranty as recommended by Gnashvar.

There are many problems with Sony, most of them aren't technical.
As for 1080p on a 32" screen, the human eye can't resolve pixels closer than 2 arcminutes of angle. You can do the math easily enough and determine whether you'd be able to resolve 1080 lines at your normal viewing distance on a 32" screen.

Thank you. Somebody who knows what I'm talking about. It's not the size of the TV, it's fact that you cannot see 1080p on a <32" screen. The extra money spent on having 1080p over 720p is completely wasted. You see absolutely no benefit at all. It would be like somebody bringing out a true 64 bit colour screen as opposed to 24 bit panels that most high quality TVs have. Most people (and I mean the vast majority) simply cannot see the amount of colours that it can display.Hatta wrote:There are many problems with Sony, most of them aren't technical.

It's marketing jargon to make you spend more money. Like digital cameras you could have 20-30-40mega pixel sensors, but if the sensor is shit at taking pictures you're just going to have really crappy albeit very large images. People will simply buy which ever has the biggest number instead of what works best for them.

What Niode and Hatta have remarked is probably your best bet. You're far better off investing in a new TV, considering the repair costs would likely exceed the current value of the TV.

I had this happen to my 32" Samsung. The fix was to throw it out.

this post was worthless. I'd expect more from a mod.
Sony makes adequate TV's, and 32inch is perfect for a smaller bedroom...etc...
who cares if he can see 1080p....
