soz about the long link there racketboy. and i got a male vga output on the lcd tv so i had to use a adapter to make it work.

another thing that makes me feel a little strange is that the picture kinda moves in some way.. but very little kinda flickers or something like the signal is bad... damn its hard to explain im not good with cables racket.

btw thank you so mutch for answering my post so fast, this forum is the best place i know

edit: i dont know if the adapter i use is the right one to use but it suits with tv and dc its a one cord with 2 females but looks kinda strange when putting in the dc vga cable because they both have screws and i cant connect the screws because they are to short on dc cord and the adapter one.

No. Its not supposed to work by unplugging the headphones.

The VGA cable does not carry any audio. In order to get sound to the TV, you will need to get a cable from that headphone jack to the TV. And this depends on what kind of inputs your TV supports for sound (especially with the VGA input).

The two most popular cables for this kind of thing would be a mini-rca to mini-rca. Since you proclaim you are not the cable king, a mini-rca is the kind of jack which your headphones use. It will be the same silver dongle on both ends.

The other major possibility is a mini-rca to rca. This will be a mini-rca jack which plugs into your DC VGA adapter and then splits in a Y between two standard RCA jacks -- usually Red (for Right) and a White jack (for Left).

Its important to note what kind of audio your VGA input on the TV uses. Don't just buy one or the other thinking it will work. Instead, go through your TV manual/menus until you find which audio signal works with the VGA signal . In a usual fashion, many TV's work in the manner of having, say, many different video signals -- usually just labelled numerically.

Video 1 - RCA
Video 2 - RCA
Video 2 - Cable
Video 3 - HDMI
Video 4 - DVI
Video 5 - VGA
Video 6 - Svideo

Meanwhile, you'll probably have five or so different audio connectors...

Audio 1 - RCA
AUdio 2 - RCA
Audio 3 - SPDIF
Audio 4 - Mini-RCA

So and so forth. The key, in this case, would be to make certain that Video 5 can be attached to Audio 1, 2 or 4.

Thats probably too much information. Shit. Now you know that the headphone jack needs to connect to the TV, you'll be able to figure it.

Your mileage may vary.

The link you referenced is a female mini-rca. If he gets that, he'll then need a male/male mini-rca to min-rca cable.

Racketboy and I just provided some links. His is close, but probably wrong. The link I send will work, is most cases, but the cable is probably not long enough.

What you need to do is look at fewer pictures and understand your TV set.

First, you know what kind of connector goes into your DreamCast cable. Its a mini-rca. Its whats allowing you to plug in some headphones and listen through those. Now, you need to look at the back of your TV and look at what kind of audio connectors it supports. I can't answer that for you, but I have given you the two most popular types. VGA connections on LCD TVs very commonly support one or both of the connections I discussed. RCA or mini-rca. If you have two female connectors, one white and one red, chances are you could use one of the cables I linked -- but longer. You find these almost everywhere -- even grocery stores. But, its also very popular for LCD TVs to support only mini-rca connections with a VGA input. Just look, or, RTFM ;)

Again, I can't guarantee anything. But, one of those cables should work. Probably the mini-rca to white/red RCA. Just get one thats long enough. If you go to a major store, like Fry's, you can probably pick up one of each of these cables for two bucks a piece.

Durkada when you say mini rca do you mean 3.5mm stereo jack. I've never heard the term mini RCA before. That's what I'm thinking from the links you and Racketboy have supplied.

3.5mm (exactly like a headphone Unrealsoldier) jack is what my TV uses and the majority of LCD tv's I sell have 3.5mm jacks beside the vga.
