I have a Dreamcast installed too, but... somewhere else. I have to go to the bathroom alot to get the controllers connected.

Up to recently it used to be my GP2X. Tons of emulators, can play movies and runs off batteries, so no problems on the really long trips. But this year I will be taking my GBA SP (frontlit) with me on holiday. It's small, plays GB/GBC/GBA games, emulates the NES great, great battery life and most importantly the screen works very well in sunlight as well.

I don't actually take my handhelds out of the house that much as I don't buy them for gaming on the go. I just buy them for the great exclusive games. I bought a Nintendo DS for Castlevania:Order of Ecclesia and I've barely touched it since completing that game. I vote PSP though, as it is EASILY the best handheld out there. Not the stupid Go version though. I have a PSP 2000 hacked(cause an unhacked PSP is a PSP that isn't being used properly)

I usually take my Neo Geo Pocket Color. However, now that I have a PSP, I might start using that more once I get it homebrew capable. Then I'll be able to play OpenBOR mods on the go - and that'll be freaking sweet.

Oh yeah - perhaps you should have added 'Laptop' to that list.

When I had an Alienware Laptop, I took that bad-boy with me everywhere I went. Unreal Tournament and Warcraft on the go? Thank you sir, may I have another?

Other awesome open-platform handhelds I can recommend are the GP2X and Dingoo.

+1 That is exactly what I would play on PSP!

I'm saving up for one right now, but its going to be awhile until I get one.

edit: I use GBA and Genmoble (Genesis portable) for long trips.
