That is probably the most amazing way to describe something Ive ever heard.
Agree. Like I mentioned it's like living those old days again. I think people that overlooked the Game Cube when it came out are more appreciative of it now.
Thanks everyone...

I'm pretty hardcore about gaming, love most every system, and Gamecube is near my top. I feel much the same way about N64, not a huge library of good games, but many great ones.

Doesn't the PS2 have a shit load of acessories too?

Wii is just unreasonable with the amount of accessories it has though.
I get mad every time I see someone blow 5 bucks on a plastic thingy for the wii mote (baseball bat, golf club, etc.)

But in reality that old friend you haven't seen for years will be fun only for a short time, when you realize you have grown apart and aren't the same person you use to be when friends. Of course you will always invite them over whenever they are in town but only in respect for the friendship you use to hold, a way to grasp your youth again but it will never be the same.

That said that is why I have never been apart from Mario. He has always been my figurative video game best friend. Instead of growing apart we grew togther.

Controllers!!! Nintendo went off the deep end with n64 and have been on a downward slope in that regard.

People will say "O man, how can you say that! The n64 analog stick was so innovative! Or, the double action shoulder buttons for the gamecube is such a technical feat!" All of that is a bunch of bollocks. I'll stick to the tried and true snes controller. I am not going to even touch motion controls because that speaks for itself. I do realize this is completely subjective but controllers make a big impact in my preference for a console.

I've never really understood the idea that too many games or too many accessories were a bad thing for a console.

Exactly, the kind of people who love Halo and CoD and claim to be hardcore but have never heard of things like Punch Out, JSR, Killer7, Beyond Good and Evil never mind sat down and mastered a schump or a 2D fighter and will sadly never allow themselves those pleasures
