Wow! A place for me to introduce myself!

My name is Harry and I am from the South-West of England.

I have been playing videogames on plenty of different systems for around 10 years (since I was 5).

Welcome vader99 and TehOctoNinja-Harry, always great to have new members with their experiences and ideals. You could modify your signature link if you want to, and show what systems you own. Also if you have not tried that blue links bar above in particular "Topics" and "Guides", Racketboy has provided a wealth of information on various systems.

Hi! I've been a member of Racket for about a year now, I think. I never really say much, but I read read a ton. I've been collecting games for about 5 years now and amassed quite a collection. I was raised on Sega, but now prefer Nintendo consoles. I own, somewhere in the region, of 1300 games for most of the major consoles. I tend to prefer 2d fighters, SHUMPS, Sim Racers, and RPGs. I am strictly a console gamer, but I can appreciate PC games as well. I love hockey, soccer, and music. I'll post some pic of my collection in the near future.

So... Hi...

New to the forum, but not new to retro gaming or racketboy.com.

Thought it was time to take part in the community here :)

Living in Denmark, working from home as a programmer (mostly web).
Have been retro gaming for quite a lot of years, on and off, but have only now started to really getting into the real consoles. My world back then, was C64, Amiga and the Mega Drive - sold them all, unfortunately, but who new any better? (Obviously some of you did, but I sure didn't :? ).

These last couple of years I've started collecting the real hardware and have recently started setting up the retro game room in our house - really cool to have them all out and plugged in. In the process I've been guilty of paying way too much for various games and consoles (Ikagura DC, anyone?) and will be guilty of it again in the near future, starting with Rondo of Blood and the obligatory hardware for it :)

Anyway, however long winded that was, there's my introduction...
NES (PAL), NES (US), SNES (US), Turbo Duo-R (RGB), Megadrive 1 (PAL with 50/60 switch), Megadrive 2 (PAL), PSX with chip (PAL), PS2 softmodded with HDD (PAL), PS3, Xbox classic with chip x 2, Gamecube (PAL), Wii, Dreamcast (PAL), Xbox360, Sega Saturn Derby Edition.

Hey guys,

Long time lurker, finally decided to join. I'm quite impressed by the community following and support shown here, props to racketboy for making it all happen :)

I'm into retro Sega consoles, relics of my youth. I look forward to helping and watching the community in the future as well.

Hello there everyone.

I'm Mikey, MikeyW. I've been looking over this site for several months now, firstly at the guides and now at the forum posts, in order to increase my knowledge of all things retro.

I've been a big fan of retro gaming for as long as I can remember. What I mean by that is that I was born in 1988, with my Sega Megadrive II being my first proper console and sinse then I've never been able to pry myself from its 16-bit goodness. Of course, other consoles have come my way over the years, with myself falling for them also.

Sinse coming to university, I've had a little more "spending money" and have recently aquired a Master System II, NES, and a Dreamcast, all of which I'm trying to get into. On top of that I have a few Playstations, PS2's and N64's as well as an Atari Jr. and a somewhat broken SNES.

I hopes are that in the summer, once I've finished my degree, I'll have some time to mod, paint etc. some of these consoles and would appreciate any tips you guys can give me.

I hope to become an active member of this community, and I hope you guys see me around lots.
