phantasy star online v2 - anyone here still play online?
with the exception of the past two weeks, my roommate and i have been playing pso v2 online a lot recently via the schtack servers. just curious if anyone else here plays the old school version (and not blue burst). would be kinda neat to play online with some fellow forum dwellers

I still play it from time to time on my gamecube. One of my favourite games of all time. I should get on it sometime soon, miss the days of DC/GC dominance though.

When my wife and I get our new house and I actually have my GameCube set up and within Ethernet range of my router, I will probably try playing online. I have a GameCube keyboard I bought for that game, so I may as well use it. It would have been nice if Nintendo had made the Wii such that the GameCube components could interface with the Wii's networking, but oh well.

if i'm not mistaken, gamecube players can't join the games set up by dreamcast and windows players, correct?

That's correct, as far as I know. It would have been nice if Sega had made them interoperable.grittykitty wrote:if i'm not mistaken, gamecube players can't join the games set up by dreamcast and windows players, correct?

If you play on Schthack (only possible way now) it is possible for Gamecube and DC players to play together. I'm pretty sure that the DC players can set up the game with no problems when the GC player enters.grittykitty wrote:if i'm not mistaken, gamecube players can't join the games set up by dreamcast and windows players, correct?

We'll have to try that out when I get my GameCube set up.burningmice wrote:If you play on Schthack (only possible way now) it is possible for Gamecube and DC players to play together. I'm pretty sure that the DC players can set up the game with no problems when the GC player enters.
